Winners Mentality Points for Your Organisation

Everyone in business has a desire to be successful, whether it be Corporate Mountain, the Media Mountain, Government Mountain or Ministry Mountain, there are some mountains you are going to have to conquer and take by force. In the book of Numbers thirteen Moses sent twelve Leaders to spy out the Land that God had given to the Children of Israel, I need to reiterate that “God had already given it to them.” But they still had to fight

The twelve spies searched out the land for forty days and came back with a report. Ten spies said it couldn’t be done there are giants in the land and we feel like grasshoppers; two said let us go up immediately as we are well able to conquer them.

The report of the majority affected the community; they murmured and complained that God had brought them out of Egypt to kill them.  They complained against Moses and God, the result was catastrophic. God told them they would wonder in the wilderness until they eventually died, that is what they believed, that is what they spoke that was what they received, and their punishment would be forty years in the wilderness. Out of a Nation of people given a promise of the good life   only two people would eventually see it: Caleb and Joshua.

.

There are some powerful lessons to be learned from this story.

Every one of us, whether we believe it or not are on an assignment, only we can accomplish it and only we will be held accountable for in its completion. To conquer your mountain, have victory over giants and to claim your promise there are some rules you will have to apply to have victory in what you desire.

When undertaking any new business venture it is wise to carry out your research

The Lord said to Moses, 2 “Send some men to explore the land of Canaan,

Which I am giving to the Israelites. From each ancestral tribe send one of its leaders.”

(Numbers 13:1-2)

Find out how best to accomplish your mission

When Moses sent them to explore Canaan, he said, “Go up through the Negev and on into the hill country.

See what the land is like and whether the people who live there are strong or weak, few or many.

(Numbers 13:17-18)

Those that represent your organization must be able to see what you see and if not further.

Joshua and Caleb saw what God saw and spoke what God spoke

Then Caleb silenced the people before Moses and said, "We should go up and take possession of the land, for we can certainly do it.”

(Numbers 13:30)

Those who work for you must believe in you

Twelve spies were sent out to spy the land; however, only two believed what they had been told could be accomplished.

If your associates do not share your vision they will cause division within the company

That night all the members of the community raised their voices and wept aloud.  All the Israelites grumbled

against Moses and Aaron, and the whole assembly said to them, “If only we had died in Egypt! Or in this wilderness!

(Numbers 14:1-2)

On their return from spying out the land 2 of the spies believed what God said but 10 spies harnessed doubt.

When your employees do not have the same vision as you it will create a handicap and setback for your business

For forty years—one year for each of the forty days you explored the land—

you will suffer for your sins and know what it is like to have me against you.’

(Numbers 13:34)

The 10 spies affected the nation and was the catalyst that caused the people to wonder in the wilderness for forty years.

The Dominate influence/influences in your company can ruin the vision for organisation

But the men who had gone up with him said, “We can’t attack those people; they are stronger than we are.”

And they spread among the Israelites a bad report about the land they had explored.

(Numbers 13:31-32)

Wrong information concerning your business will spread quickly if not stopped and eliminated

That night all the members of the community raised their voices and wept aloud.  All the Israelites grumbled against Moses and God.

Aaron and the whole assembly said to them, “If only we had died in Egypt! Or in this wilderness!

They murmured the whole night in their tents.

(Numbers 14:1-2)

When faced with tough challenges ahead, select the right people to push your vision forward;

Joshua son of Nun and Caleb son of Jephunneh, who were among those who had explored the land, tore their clothes and

said to the entire Israelite assembly, “The land we passed through and explored is exceedingly good.  If the Lord is pleased with us, he will lead us into that land, a land flowing with milk and honey, and will give it to us.   Only do not rebel against the Lord. And do not be afraid of the people of the land, because we will devour them.

Their protection is gone, but the Lord is with us. Do not be afraid of them.”

(Numbers 14:6-9)

To advance in any area of your life, you must be willing to take risks

Only do not rebel against the Lord. And do not be afraid of the people of the land, because we will devour them.

Their protection is gone, but the Lord is with us. Do not be afraid of them.”

(Numbers 14: 9)

Never permit those with a desire to stay in mediocrity to be the dominant voice in your organisation.

But the whole assembly talked about stoning them.

(Numbers 14:10)

The rest wanted to stone Joshua and Caleb for their faith in what God said.

Eliminate (or remove) anyone who promotes dissension in your company

So the men Moses had sent to explore the land, who returned and made the whole community grumble

against him by spreading a bad report about it these men who were responsible for spreading the bad report

about the land were struck down and died of a plague before the Lord.

(Numbers 14:36-37)

The 10 spies who doubted Gods promise died.

Never promote people because of their status; promote those with a heart and tenacity to win.

So at the Lord’s command Moses sent them out from the Desert of Paran. All of them were leaders of the Israelite.

Numbers 13:3

The 12 Spies were leaders of their tribes, however, while two spies had the heart of winners, ten of those spies had the heart of losers.

Never fear the competition when you a certain about your product.

Joshua and Caleb were certain God had given them the land; they needn’t fear but only believed.

Low self esteem among employees will usually lead to an attitude of apathy among your workforce.

That night all the members of the community raised their voices and wept aloud.

(Numbers 14:1)

The majority affected the nation and caused everyone to doubt.

How your employees see themselves is how you’re going to carry themselves

There we saw the giants (the descendants of Anak came from the giants);

and we were like grasshoppers in our own sight, and so we were in their sight.”

(Number 13:33)

They saw themselves as grasshoppers, so they behaved like insects.

How you see yourself is how you’ll carry yourself.
