How Sin Entered

 

Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned.

Romans 5. 12

 

For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so also by one Man’s obedience many will be made righteous.

Romans 5. 19

 

 

The Law Strengthens Sin

 

Moreover the law entered that the offense might abound. But where sin abounded, grace abounded much more.

Romans 5. 20

As it is written:” There is none righteous, no, not one;                                        

Romans 3.10

Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law, that every mouth may be stopped, and the entire world may become guilty before God.

Romans 3. 19

 

Therefore by the deeds of the law no flesh will be justified in His sight, for by the law is the knowledge of sin.                    

Romans 3. 20

 

Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law                                               

1st John 3.4

 

The sting of death is sin, and the strength of sin is the law     

1st Corinth 15.56

 

 

 

No Law, No Sin

 

Because the law brings about wrath; for where there is no law there is no transgression

Romans 4. 15

 

What shall we say then? Is the law sin? Certainly not! On the contrary, I would not have known sin except through the law. For I would not have known covetousness unless the law had said, “You shall not covet.”                      

Romans  7. 7

 

But sin, taking opportunity by the commandment, produced in me all manner of evil desire. For apart from the law sin was dead

(For until the law sin was in the world, but sin is not imputed when there is no law

The Law Could Not Save

 

But that no one is justified by the law in the sight of God is evident, for “the just shall live by faith                                                 

Galatians 3.11

 

knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law but by faith in Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, that we might be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law; for by the works of the law no flesh shall be justified.

Galatians 2.16

 

But the Scripture has confined all under sin, that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe                        

Galatians 3. 22

 

 For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse; for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who does not continue in all things which are written in the book of the law, to do them.                                       

Galatians 3. 10  (Because if you broke one of the laws you broke all)                                  

 

You have become estranged from Christ, you who attempt to be justified by law; you have fallen from grace.        

Galatians 5. 4

 

 

Salvation Through Faith In Jesus Christ

 

But now the righteousness of God apart from the law is revealed, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets,                           

Romans 3. 21

 

Even the righteousness of God, through faith in Jesus Christ, to all and on all who believe. For there is no difference;                                                           

Romans 3 .22

 

For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.                2nd Corinth 5.21

 

Therefore the law was our tutor to bring us to Christ, that we might be justified by faith.                             

Galatians 3. 24

 

For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast.                          

Ephesians 2.8-9

 

But when the kindness and the love of God our Savior toward man appeared, 5 not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit,     

Titus 3. 4-5

 

Who has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began  

2nd Tim1.9

 

Having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross

Colossians 2.14

 

Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”             

Galatians 3. 13

 

That at that time you were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world.                                  

Ephesians 2.12

 

But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ. For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation                                                                 

Ephesians 2.13-14

 

Having abolished in His flesh the enmity, that is, the law of commandments contained in ordinances, so as to create in Himself one new man from the two, thus making peace                                                        

Ephesians 2.15

 

For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.
